Company of Spiritual Guide
Khanqah Silsila Sarwari Qadri is the place where seekers of Allah and devotees are blessed with divine company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. He graces the khanqah with his presence weekly on Sunday afternoon. Every Sunday, Milad gathering is held in khanqah in which disciples recite encomiums and eulogies and give speeches on topics related to the path of Faqr. Devotees from all around Pakistan visit khanqah to attend these gatherings and gain beneficence from company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.
IMPORTANCE OF COMPANY OF SPIRITUAL GUIDE
In the path of Faqr, company of spiritual guide (Murshid Kamil) is of extreme importance. Without it, a seeker of Allah can neither gain inward purification nor elevate spiritually. In fact, the perfect spiritual guide is an embodiment of Divine light. Hence, his celestial company is source of enlightenment for seekers of Allah. Many sayings of Saints impress upon the need of company of spiritual guide. Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani says:
- Endeavour to join the assembly of perfect spiritual guide because it blesses with accomplishment in religion. In their celestial company and assembly a person’s inward fills with pure love of Allah. (Ghunyat-ul-Talibeen)
Sultan Bahoo says;
- The eternal physical and spiritual company of spiritual guide verily becomes a source of Divine favour for the seeker. (Ameer-ul-Kaunain)
Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali says;
- Seeker should regularly visit the company of his Murshid. Because company of Murshid is such a place where Divine light of faith inculcates into the souls of followers. Furthermore, their polluted inwards get purgation. Undoubtedly, one glance of perfect spiritual guide is more effective than invocation and contemplation of six months. (Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali-Life and Teachings)
Verily, company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is like the sun of beneficence that enlightens and enlivens souls of true seekers of Allah. He spiritually treats their inner diseases such as hatred, lust, malice, jealousy, envy, etc. by virtue of his divine company. Hence, ensures that there remains no negative attribute within the disciple.
OATH OF ALLEGIANCE (BAYAT/AL-BAYAH) AND PRAYERS (DUA)
Seekers of Allah who wish to take oath of allegiance at the hand of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen get this opportunity in khanqah. Every Sunday, after the Milad gathering large number of seekers take oath of allegiance to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. He grants them Ism-e-Allah Zaat for invocation and contemplation as well as its inscribing practice (mashq marqoom-e-wajudia) immediately after bayat. Certainly, this practice is not observed in other Sufi orders. Hence, this is an extra advantage to Sarwari Qadri disciple that he becomes acquainted to spiritual world (batin) much earlier.
Moreover, many people visit khanqah just to meet Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen and request him to pray for solution of their problems. He blesses everyone with his kindness and prays for them.
Doors of khanqah are open for everyone day and night without discrimination of any sect, caste, creed or status. However, only male disciples can enter the khanqah.
KHANQAH FOR FEMALE DISCIPLES
Female seekers of Allah attend gathering held at Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s house every Sunday under the presidentship of his venerable wife. Afterwards, he graces this gathering on returning from khanqah. Hence, female disciples get the blessing of company of their spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman in the presence of his wife.
Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali said that khanqah is any place where perfect spiritual guide blesses seekers of Allah with his company. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has dedicated his house for gathering of female disciples. Hence, his house is a khanqah for female disciples.
